Overview
The BioMatrix and BioMatrix Flex drug-eluting coronary stents are combination products consisting of two key components:
- A stent containing the active pharmaceutical agent Biolimus A9™ incorporated into a biodegradable polymer coating
- A delivery system
Composition: 316L medical-grade stainless steel.
Long-term outcomes: The two largest studies (LEADERS trial and the e-BioMatrix registry) enrolling over 2,000 patients demonstrated favorable 5-year clinical outcomes with a low incidence of adverse cardiovascular events and in-stent restenosis rates below 7%.
